Our Commitment to Equity and Respect
 

Bhostd is a global platform built on the values of dignity, belonging, and access. We believe that everyone—regardless of background or identity—deserves the right to travel, host, and engage in our community without fear of discrimination or bias. This policy applies across all user actions, including booking, communication, reviews, and content creation.

Protected Characteristics
 

Bhostd prohibits discrimination based on, but not limited to, the following attributes:
 

  • Race or ethnicity

  • Color or national origin

  • Religion or religious beliefs

  • Gender identity or gender expression

  • Sexual orientation

  • Marital or familial status

  • Age

  • Disability (mental or physical)

  • Medical conditions or health status

  • Immigration or citizenship status

  • Veteran or military status

What Hosts May Not Do
 

  • Refuse to rent to a guest based on any protected characteristic

  • Impose different pricing, rules, or conditions based on personal identity

  • Include discriminatory statements in listings (e.g., “no children,” “must speak English,” “no locals”)

  • Deny accessibility to guests with disabilities unless it is structurally impossible

What Guests May Not Do
 

  • Harass, threaten, or degrade a host based on any protected identity

  • Write discriminatory or hateful content in reviews or messages

  • Demand accommodations that violate fair housing laws or platform policies

  • Make assumptions or express bias about a host’s religion, origin, or lifestyle

Platform Enforcement
 

Bhostd actively enforces this policy through both automated and human review. If we receive reports of discriminatory behavior:
 

  • We may remove listings, suspend communication tools, or freeze accounts

  • Repeat or severe violations will result in permanent removal from the platform

  • Offensive reviews or profile content will be deleted without warning

  • Violators may be referred to authorities where applicable housing or civil rights laws are in effect

How to Report Discrimination
 

Anyone who believes they have been targeted by discriminatory behavior should report the incident through one of the following:
 

Reports are kept confidential and reviewed within 48 hours by our Trust & Safety team.

As part of your continued use of Bhostd, you agree to:
 

  • Uphold the principles of dignity, inclusion, and fairness

  • Host and travel with openness to all backgrounds

  • Avoid language or behaviors that marginalize, exclude, or judge others

  • Accept accountability when mistakes are made and commit to improvement
