Effective communication is at the heart of every great Bhostd experience. Our platform offers a safe and secure way for guests and hosts to connect before, during, and after a booking. To ensure transparency and safety, all messaging must take place through Bhostd's official platform.


Before Booking: Ask Questions Confidently
 

Guests can contact hosts directly via the listing page before confirming a reservation. Use this feature to:
 

  • Clarify amenities, accessibility, or location details

  • Request early check-in or late check-out

  • Inquire about discounts for long-term stays

  • Confirm if the listing is suitable for your needs
     

To contact a host prior to booking:
 

  1. Navigate to the listing

  2. Click on the "Message Host" button

  3. Submit your inquiry via Guest Inbox
     

Hosts are encouraged to respond within 24 hours. Guests can track all sent messages through their Guest Inbox.


After Booking: Stay in Touch for a Smooth Check-In
 

Once your reservation is confirmed, continue all communication via the Bhostd platform:
 

  • View details under Your Trips

  • Use the "Message Host" button to ask about access instructions or house rules

  • Clarify any questions about parking, Wi-Fi, or local recommendations
     

Staying in touch ensures both guests and hosts are fully prepared and aligned.


Platform Messaging Only
 

To protect your privacy and ensure platform protections apply, you must not:
 

  • Share personal emails, phone numbers, or social media

  • Make or accept payments outside of Bhostd

  • Arrange off-platform bookings
     

Violations of these terms may result in account restrictions or suspension. For full rules, see the Communication Policy.


What if a Host Doesn’t Respond?
 

If you haven’t received a reply:
 

  • Wait at least 24 hours

  • Verify that your message was sent via your Guest Inbox
     

If there's still no response:
 

Bhostd's Trust & Safety Team can follow up and help resolve the issue.


All Messaging is Secure and Encrypted
 

Messages sent on Bhostd are encrypted and stored securely. This ensures:
 

  • Verified communication for dispute resolution

  • Protection against scams or impersonation

  • A clear and trackable history for both guest and host
     

You can view all current and past messages in your Guest Inbox.


Be Respectful and Clear
 

Polite and timely messaging improves your experience and ratings. Avoid vague or overly short messages. Include:
 

  • Your travel dates

  • Any special needs or preferences

  • Specific questions about the space
