Why Bhostd Requires Identity Verification
 

Bhostd prioritizes platform trust and user safety. Identity verification ensures that all guests, hosts, and service providers are real individuals using their own information. Verifying identity reduces fraud, promotes accountability, and creates a safer booking and hosting experience for everyone.

Who Is Required to Verify Their Identity
 

• All guests before booking a property, service, or experience

• All hosts before publishing a listing or receiving payouts

• Any user making changes to sensitive information, like passwords or payment details

• Users who are reported for suspicious or inconsistent activity

Verification Methods Supported
 

To protect the platform and its users, Bhostd uses multiple layers of verification. Depending on your account type and activity, you may be required to complete any or all of the following:
 

1. Government-Issued ID Upload
    

   • Passport, driver’s license, or national ID card

   • Must be clear, legible, and unexpired
      

2. Live Selfie Scan
    

   • Users may be asked to take a real-time selfie to match their submitted ID

   • Used to prevent impersonation or use of stolen credentials
      

3. Phone Number Confirmation
    

   • A secure SMS code will be sent to confirm your mobile device

   • Required during account creation or booking
      

4. Email Address Verification
    

   • A link will be sent to the registered email to confirm ownership
      

5. Profile Information Completion
    

   • Includes uploading a profile photo, setting your preferred name, and adding a short bio

   • Required for hosting or booking activities

When Verification Is Required
 

• Before booking your first reservation on Bhostd

• Before publishing or activating a new listing

• Before setting up Payout Preferences or withdrawing funds

• Before modifying account security settings, such as changing your password

• If you’re flagged for suspicious activity or receive a platform warning

Data Security and Privacy Protection
 

Bhostd encrypts all submitted verification data using modern security standards. Documents and biometric information are stored securely, never shared or sold, and used only for the purpose of account verification and safety review.
 

Users can review their verification status and manage authentication factors in the Security Dashboard.

What Happens If Verification Fails
 

If Bhostd cannot verify your identity:
 

• You will be unable to make or accept bookings

• Your payouts may be held until verification is complete

• Your account may be temporarily suspended or flagged for review

• Re-verification may be requested at any time if there’s a security concern

Platform-Wide Enforcement
 

Users found submitting falsified documents, impersonating others, or attempting to bypass verification requirements may be permanently banned from Bhostd.
 

Verification is a condition of use. By using Bhostd, you agree to participate in reasonable and secure identity checks as required by our platform or by law.
