Content and Listing Integrity Policy

At Bhostd, we are committed to building a trustworthy marketplace where guests can rely on accurate and honest listings. To protect this integrity, all content posted by hosts must be factual, regularly updated, and free from misrepresentation.


What Hosts Must Include
 

  • Clear Descriptions: Accurate details about room types, amenities, location, rules, and accessibility.

  • Recent Photos: High-quality images showing the actual space offered, not stock photos or unrelated properties.

  • Accurate Pricing and Fees: The price shown should reflect the total cost, including all nightly rates, cleaning fees, and discounts.

  • Updated Availability: Your listing calendar must be kept current to avoid double bookings and guest inconvenience.


What’s Not Allowed
 

  • Misleading titles (e.g., “Beachfront Villa” when property is several miles from the beach)

  • Use of copyrighted or AI-generated images to deceive users

  • Posting duplicate listings of the same space to game search results

  • Inflated amenities that don’t exist in the actual space (e.g., “Pool” when no pool is accessible)

  • Listings that violate local zoning, housing laws, or Bhostd’s Trust and Verification standards


Moderation & Review
 

  • All new listings are subject to manual or automated review under Pending Listings

  • Listings found in violation may be rejected or returned with a request for correction

  • Ongoing audits may trigger temporary suspensions until issues are resolved


Listing Requirements

Hosts are encouraged to use the Reservation Requirements tool to set guest expectations clearly, including house rules, check-in windows, and security deposits where applicable.


Guest Disputes & Resolution
 

Guests who feel misled by a listing can file a report via Help or Reported Incidents. If evidence confirms the listing was inaccurate or misrepresented, Bhostd may:
 

  • Issue a refund to the guest

  • Penalize the host through ranking suppression, removal of listings, or account suspension


Maintaining Your Listing
 

  • Regularly update listing information via My Listings

  • Promptly respond to guest questions through the Inbox

  • Mark listings as inactive if unavailable for extended periods


Bhostd reserves the right to edit, suspend, or remove any content that violates this policy to protect guest trust and platform quality.
