Bhostd Payouts and Fees Policy

This policy outlines how payments are collected from guests, disbursed to hosts, and how Bhostd applies service fees. It also sets expectations around transparency and platform-exclusive payments.
1. Overview of Payment Process
Bhostd facilitates secure online transactions between guests and hosts through our payment gateway. Guests are charged in full at the time of booking, and hosts receive payouts only after check-in has occurred, ensuring reliability for both parties. Our system protects against fraud, chargebacks, and operational delays, while giving hosts confidence in guaranteed payouts.
All financial interactions—including booking charges, fees, and refunds—are reflected transparently within your Dashboard, Completed Transactions, Future Transactions, and Other Transactions sections. These tools help both guests and hosts track their finances in real-time.
2. Guest Fees
Bhostd maintains a Zero Guest Service Fee philosophy on standard bookings—making us unique in the industry. Guests pay the nightly rate and applicable local taxes set by the host, without incurring additional platform service charges. This transparent pricing structure helps build guest loyalty and increases booking conversion for hosts. However, in cases of monthly stays, non-refundable bookings, or value-added services, certain modest guest fees may apply to cover additional processing, international exchange, or third-party security screening. These will be clearly disclosed at the point of booking and summarized in your Reservation page and Trips section.
3. Host Service Fees
To operate the Bhostd platform, we collect a standard host service fee ranging from 3% to 15% depending on the type of booking, host status, and geographic location. This fee is automatically deducted from the host’s payout and is detailed in each transaction report.

10–15% for monthly stays or high-value bookings

4. Payout Timing and Methods
Payouts are released 24 hours after guest check-in to help protect against last-minute cancellations or fraudulent activity. Hosts may choose their preferred payout method via the Payout Preferences page—available methods include direct bank deposit, PayPal, and other country-specific providers.
Payout frequency and currency options vary by country. If your payment is delayed, it may be due to regional banking holidays, verification issues, or identity mismatches (resolved via Trust & Verification). For full transparency, Bhostd provides a live transaction audit trail.
5. Prohibited Payments and Off-Platform Fees
To maintain security and protect all users, Bhostd strictly prohibits off-platform payments. Any attempt to request, accept, or offer money via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal (outside the system), wire transfers, or cash is a direct violation of this policy.
Guests and hosts must not exchange funds or make side agreements outside of Bhostd.
Violations will result in account suspension, removal of listings, and potential legal action.
We enforce this rule not only to prevent fraud, but also to preserve the safety net of our [Resolution Center], Rebooking Policies, and platform guarantees.
6. Fee Transparency and Dispute Resolution
Bhostd is committed to 100% fee transparency. Every charge—whether taxes, security deposits, or adjustments—is clearly itemized during the booking flow and stored in your account’s Reservations section. You’ll also receive receipts via User Notifications. If you believe there was an error in your payout or were incorrectly charged, you may escalate the case through our Help Center or directly contact Support. Our team is trained to resolve disputes in under 48 hours when sufficient evidence is provided.
