Why Reviews Matter
 

Bhostd is built on a foundation of trust, accountability, and transparency. Reviews are one of the most effective ways to promote excellent guest and host behavior while giving future users insight into real experiences.
 

Whether you’re a guest reviewing a host, a host rating a guest, or leaving feedback for a service provider, your words shape the reputation of others on the platform and affect search visibility, booking decisions, and community trust.


What’s Allowed in a Review
 

Reviews must be:
 

  • Truthful and based on actual experience: Only users who completed a reservation can leave a review.

  • Respectful and professional: Avoid name-calling, profanity, or inflammatory language.

  • Focused on the experience: Reviews should address cleanliness, communication, accuracy, amenities, punctuality, safety, etc.

  • Written within 14 days of checkout: After that, reviews are locked and cannot be edited or submitted.


What’s Not Allowed
 

Reviews will be removed if they:
 

  • Include discriminatory, hateful, or harassing language

  • Contain personally identifiable information (e.g. phone numbers, addresses, last names)

  • Reference disputes or resolutions not handled through Bhostd channels

  • Mention prices, promotions, or attempts to move communication off-platform

  • Contain spam, self-promotion, or misleading statements

  • Violate our Nondiscrimination Policy
     

Bhostd reserves the right to edit, hide, or delete any review that violates these guidelines.


Review Visibility and Notifications
 

  • Guests and hosts will receive email and User Notifications once a review is submitted.

  • Reviews become visible only after both parties have submitted theirs or after the 14-day review window closes.

Disputing a Review
 

If you believe a review is fake, retaliatory, or violates our guidelines:
 

  1. Visit the review page or your Guest Inbox

  2. Click “Report this Review”

  3. Submit evidence or an explanation of why it should be removed

  4. Bhostd’s Moderation Team will respond within 3–5 business days


Tips for Writing Helpful Reviews
 

  • Be detailed but concise

  • Avoid emotional or exaggerated language

  • Include both pros and cons

  • Mention how the listing or experience matched expectations

  • Use your review to help others decide—not to attack
